whats going on everybody? i was wondering what is the best chassis for a K20 swap between 90-93 or 94-2001 tegra, or a EG OR EK civic hatchback and also whether USDM K20 would be the more reliable and compatible route or a JDM K20. thanks posted by  zerogravity027

I hear they are all just about the same as far as difficulty. Look into Hasport for your swap parts (wiring, mounts, axles). Check honda-tech for directions if you do it yourself. posted by  newyorker

so your more or less saying the jdm isnt any harder to swap than the usdm k20 as long as i got the right parts? posted by  zerogravity027

Not to my knowledge, no. I am not 100% on this but the transmissions between the Honda Integra Type-R DC5 and our Acura RSX Type-S might be different and have different gearing so look into that (in a lot of cases they are so this is why i brought it up).

If you are doing an engine swap into an EG or EK civic, I would look into an H2B swap for it. H22a motor, B-series trans = 13 second car so ive been told. Any other questions, dont hesitate to ask. posted by  newyorker
