hi all.
I was trying to diagnose my air con on a 1993 ford escort 1.9l engine. I
tested the connection to the air con with my tester and when I ground the
relay the compressor and cluth engage. When I dont ground it with the
tester it does not engage at all. So the compressor and cluth are working
so must be electrical. Is it possible that the relay is bad or maybe the AC
switch on the panel?
Thanks

Yes to both questions. Ig grounding the relay started the compressor, I
would also figure out how the power goes to ground in the system and make
sure you don't have broken wiring
I haven't looked up a wiring diagram to check but you may also have a low
pressure cut-off switch in this system too.

Well its def not the pressure because I checked it and its close to 45psi.
I would have to test the switch on the panel and see if thats the problem
then if not its might be the relay switch.
