It's hard to get the car out of park. I spilled a large coke on the
transmission lever.I sprayed white grease down the lever into the mechanism
but it only helped for a minute. Should I use something else?

Your first mistake was to try Coke as a lubricant. And putting a film of
grease over the Coke is not going to help either.
