I have a 01 Monte carlo SS 3.8. About 3/4 of the time when I try to start
it, it will turn over and over before starting. If you just hit the key and
let go it will act like it wants to start and then spit and shut off. If
you give it gas and rev it up it does better. I also tried turning the a/c
off and turn the key to on for about 10 seconds before starting and 2 times
its helped, but it may just be luck. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!!

Maybe if you A) Posted this in the right place, and B) Waited more than

Sounds like you need to tighten down your doofulator valve.:clap:

2001? cars startin to get older. starter could just be worn? had that
problem with my cutlass, the older the car got, the longer it would crank
to start. new starter fixed the issue. not sayin thats your issue, just
tryin to help
