my girlfriend has a 1996 ford escort that is having idle problems. her car
runs fine untill she comes to a stop. when she comes to a stop sign or stop
light, her car usualy wants to die and she has to put it in park or neutral
and feather the gas pedal in order to keep it running. i think it is the
throtle position sensor but im not positiive. i am open for sugestions.

check for a vacuum leak first. there is an elbow on top of the intake that
goes to a plastic line that goes to the pcv that tends to rot and crack on
those cars...
