Hi , I am a semi retired person who enjoys fixing cars and many other mechanical items..........Right now I have a 2002 Buick Regal which had the windshield wiper parking in the upright position. I changed the wiper motor and now in the pulse / delay mode the wipers still park in the up position. When they are turned off altogether then the wipers park in the correct position. I believe the wiper bracket and arm assembly are the problem as the bracket had a bend portion in it which showed an area which had been probably in contact with the rotating part of the arm attachment........there is also a rubbing / scraping noise each tme the rotating piece goes into the delay mode..What am I doing wrong.... posted by  silver007
