For full features; Go to Hunting down a certain 1973 MGB roadster?
When I was a kid, my grandfather restored a 1973 MGB roadster. I believe it
was a full ground up restoration where the car was repainted into British
Racing Green instead of the factory red / rust color the car was in prior
to restoration.
He sold the car several years ago to someone he knew through some sort of
classic car club, or online message board (I think). He has since passed
away, and I'm not sure how I would go about tracking down the car.
Essentially, I would like to see how the car is doing, and to let the owner
know that should he ever need or want to sell the car, that I'd be more
than happy to give it a good home.
Does anyone have any advice about how to go about a search like this? Are
there any classic / British / MG clubs in the South East US that would be
worth checking into? - Oh and is me doing this kind of hunt overly strange?
I feel a tad like a stalker doing this.
