Nizpro are sending a couple of the inline six turbo 4 door Falcons
(Typhoons) to your shores for demonstration. Apparently there's a crowd
there who are looking at importing them. They are touted the best
power/torque 4 door saloon on the market.
They will be a little worked, but still have scope for improvement for the
tuner/enthuisiast. 4.0 litres, 400+kW at the rears.

if only i had the money!!! we have to do with the Focus ST (though im not
complaining, i had a ride in one) but they do look nice!!!
i cant see why we cant get cars like that, oz gets vehicles that are
(mostly) british (like the Ford Transit, though thats not a car:laughing: )
True_Brit
Holy crap why don't we get those? Well over 500hp...Wally, do you guys
already have those?
chris_knows
what do you think???
ive never really understood the power rating Kw, is 400kw equal to
500hp???:ohcrap:
True_Brit
I don't know...I used google lol. 400kW is like 536hp.
I guess 1 hp is equal to 1.34kW?
chris_knows
Well you might yet. The new falcon platform is due out next year and will
apparently have a good chance of migrating to North America. Whether the
six goes with it is another story.
0.746 kW = 1 hp
Wally
so do you prefer holden over ford???
i do (well, Vauxhall over Ford)
True_Brit
I'd be equally happy if it came with an 8 lol...I guess it would replace
Ford's Crown Vic's if it came here.
We learned how to convert between kilowatts and hp a couple weeks ago, but
I couldn't remember how lol.

The eights aren't much to write home about, just the run of the mill
sourced from the US/Mexico where ever.
I do lean toward the Holden TrueBrit. But both locally made cars are pretty
good, as are the local Toyotas and Mitsy Magnas. The Govt encourages some
cross pollination amongst the makers. My VE Calais is very enjoyable to
drive and IMO better than cars like the BMW, etc.

Vauxhall has the reoutaion in the UK for producing cars that go for
functionality over desirability. Which is good, if all you want is an
economical, reliable car. Things look like they're changing though, infact
I think the pre-facelifted Vectra was that last truely 'bland' Vauxhall.
Personally I'd chose a Mk2 (or the facelifted Mk1 as some would say....)
Mondeo over a Mk1 Vectra (same age of car bear in mind....), as the Mondeo
is more advanced, and actually looks nice throughout, whereas the Vectra is
just a Cavalier....
As for Holden, I agree that they're completely different to our equivelent
in Vauxhall, and that we should get more of them, like the Monaro (one of
the not-so-bland Vauxhall's, lol). Those Falcons look sexy, too.....They do
look a little/lot like the Subaru Legacy in my opinion though. I wonder how
long it'll be before our Police forces order their demo cars, lol.
Cliffy
heres the new vectra....i mean insignia (new name!)
