For full features; Go to 89 jeep cherokee cutting out and not starting
I have an 89 jeep cherokee. It usually starts ok and runs till warmed up.
Then it just stops running. This happens under all conditions, idle (750
rpm) or driving (at 2500-3000rpm). I checked the vacuum lines, wiring -
seams to be OK. I tried a new MAP sensor with no change. Next I suspected
the crankshaft position sensor. I removed it and the sensor tip was covered
with dirt and oil. I couldn't even see the metal tip of the sensor. I
cleaned it good and reinstalled it and now the motor will not fire. It
turns over but will not start.
Any tips or ideas??
